Sharia’s teachings consider it illegitimate and unlawful. “Honour Killing” is one of the prevalent customs across the nation with different local names. It is an extremely brutal act that violating not only sharia’s express laws but also reflects mercilessness and inhumanity. Regrettably, in Pakistan this awful deed is measured as an act of appreciation and is not only regarded likeable and acceptable but is also considered a matter of pride and honour redemption. This study mainly focuses on highlighting the sharia’s rulings about the nature of Honour killings and reveals to what extent it deviates from the main stream Islamic law.
