Thus, most times, accounting departments are limited to generating predefined reports provided by a software application and the most they can do is export these reports into Microsoft Excel. Another cause which leads to late obtaining and publishing of accounting information is the lack of data from other departments and their corresponding software applications. That is why, in many enterprises, accounting data becomes irrelevant for the users.
