Educational supervisors are usu-ally interested in the development of programs of supervisory activities rather in the development of programs to evaluate these activities. Evaluation systems must be focused clearly on the improvement process rather on the accountability for end product. The evaluation process of educational supervision is a diagnostic one which aims to point out the strengths and weaknesses of supervisory prog-rams and of educational supervisors. This process must take into consideration the necessity of satisfying teachers' and learners' needs. Therefore, it is necessary, when adopting a supervisory program, to consider the necessary procedures to specify the effectiveness of the program during and after its implementation in order to achieve its goals. This paper aims to show the importance and necessity of the evaluation of educational supervisors and supervisory programs. It also aims to raise a number of questions, hoping that the answer to them might be helpful to educational leaders in introducing a comprehensive conception to assist them in evaluating supervisory programs to ensure their effectiveness.http://jes.ksu.edu.sa/sites/jes.ksu.edu.sa/files/6_5.pdfEvaluationEducational Supervision
