The caricature was growing in popularity and reach thanks to the expansion of the press and magazines, and also finds a place in live shows by lightning sketch drawings. On the other hand, within the cinema, the discovery of the stop-motion technique allows filmmakers to create tricks on the big screen. The combination of these techniques gives rise to a series of films called "lightning sketch films" which eventually lay the groundwork for the creation of future cartoons.
