Description
Summary:The objective of this article is to describe the comprehension process of the social reality, that led to the educational proposal within an organization of women belonging to the Alternative Center of Indigenous Integral Development (CADIN, for its initials in Spanish) in San Antonio Sihó, Halachó, Yucatán. The comprehension of this group about this reality takes place within the frame of a Participative Action Investigation (IAP, for its initials in Spanish) in relationship to medicinal plants in their community. Such investigation (IAP) allows them to analytically reflect upon the reality and the learning process of the cultural knowledge as part of it, laying the methodological foundations in the CADIN and educational principles that are pertinent to the social and cultural context of their locality.
