The purpose of this study was to assess whether the levels of serum Cardiac troponin I (cTnI), Homocysteine (Hcy), Cystatin c (Cys-C) and adenosine deaminase (ADA) activity are altered in alloxan induced diabetes mellitus in the dog. In this study, DM was induced by alloxan in the treatment group and three months later, plasma cTnI, Hcy and Cys-C were evaluated by Elisa technique and ADA activity was assessed by Electrochemilumminescence (ECL) method.
