Description
Summary:The work was carried out in the municipality of Guisa, Granma province, in a traditional nursery. The sowing was carried out with tobacco seeds (Nicotiana tabacum L.) of the “Corojo 2006” variety, soaked for 8 hours in a QuitoMax® solution, in a concentration of 1 g L-1 and untreated seeds. The treatments evaluated were: 1) Treatment only to seeds, 2) Treatment to seeds and seedlings, 3) Treatment only to seedlings and 4) Control Treatment (without treating seeds or seedlings), on a randomized block design. At 10, 20 and 30 days after germination (DDG), 10 plants were taken per treatment and the variable: height of the plants was measured. At 45 days after germination, 10 plants were selected per treatment and the variables plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root length, fresh mass of plants. For statistical processing, a double classification analysis of variance was used, with the STATISTICA statistical package, and Tukey's multiple comparison test of the mean, for a significance level of 5 %, when a difference was found between the means. The best behavior of the quality variables of the postures is obtained when applying the treatment to seeds and seedlings.
