Description
Summary:The qualitative composition of aquatic invertebrates and zooplankton abundance of the Mikulovské rybníky ponds is presented in the study. Size and species composition of zooplankton in studied ponds was influenced by high fish stocks in 1992–1994. In many cases, small taxa (Rotatoria, copepod Acanthocyclops robustus and cladoceran Bosmina longirostris) formed the zooplankton assemblage. Large zooplankton species (e.g. Daphnia magna) dominated only occasionaly and exclusively in ponds with low fish stock.
