Summary:Modern society require to managers of the organizations to use both technology and knowledge to take necessary decisions in order to ensure the performance and long-term sustainability of the organization. Accounting information provided by financial statements is one of the most decisive factors in future decision making on credit institutions, but also the most important information system reflecting the result of decisions taken by managers. The present research aims to show what accounting information is, which are the main sources of accounting information from credit institutions and what would be the key indicators that should be taken into consideration in measuring the performance of credit institutions.
