Summary:As the interpretation of jurisprudence transformed over time, it became the religious duty of Muslim jurisprudents to conduct legal rulings for Muslim societies. In this regard, the paper mainly focuses on the compilation and evolution of the basic principles of interpretation of Islamic jurisprudence in J’farī school of thought. The research comprises of few very significant elements in regard to the interpretation of Islamic jurisprudence in J’farī school of thought i.e. the basic definitions of exercising a judgment, the inception, and evolution of the interpretation of Islamic jurisprudence in J’farī school of thought, etc. This research highlights various significant phases of the evolution of the basic principles of interpretation of Islamic jurisprudence in J’farī school of thought. The research brings to lights the prominent features of jurisprudence in J’farī school of thought. Moreover, this research paper provides an overview of the chronological periods of the interpretation of jurisprudence in Fiqh al J’farī from the time of Holy Prophet (PBUH) to the Twelfth Shi’ites Imam and then to the present day jurisprudents.
