Summary:This contribution aims to show that the notion of social network exceeds the social structure made of individuals linked by ties of affinity. Networks are spaces related to objects that structure them, and which structure social interactions they can accommodate. To support our argument, we take the example of a socio-professional network where members submit profiles, to contractors looking to hire the right people to form a team to a specific project.
