Metalinguistics, the influence of dialogism over the notion of interdiscourse and, finally, the notion of genres of discourse. The confrontation between the two works showed similarities,
as well as theoretical-epistemological incompatibilities, resulting from different academic contexts. In conclusion, discourse analysts should be careful when articulating the two theories
and examine the way some concepts borrowed from a theoretical context are incorporated into another one. |
