Description
Summary:With the maturity and wide application of the voltage-source converter-based high-voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) technology in the power grid, the fast-response characteristic of VSC helps to improve the speed of corrective control for the AC/DC hybrid system. This paper presents a corrective control model for AC/DC hybrid grids based on VSC-HVDC. The model is expressed as a typical optimisation model with both the features of the equipment and security constraints of a power network. The corrective control model is dived into an active power sub-model and a reactive power sub-model in order to improve the calculation speed. Case studies of a modified IEEE testing system have been carried out. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.
