Summary:Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) during storage is infested by several insect specieswithin which weevils mentioned as the most important. Because of this, the present study aimed to identify arthropods affecting sorghum seeds stored in the province of Villa Clara, Cuba. For which a diagnosis was made in the 13 municipalities of the province. In the execution of the state facilities and storage sites visited smallholders. Additionally were used historical records of incidents of insects intercepted in sorghum seeds in the period from 1991 to 2012. The information obtained allowed forming a database with the name, order, family, locality and year reported that each of the agencies. In Villa Clara were identified 11 species of arthropods incident on stored grain. Cheyletus malaccensis Oudemans (Trombidiformes: Cheyletidae) and Anisopteromalus calandrae Howard (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) were both beneficial species intercepted; Sitophilus oryzaeL. whereas it was more often influenced in stored sorghum.
