Description
Summary:In the following pages, I analyse the concept besseres Bewußtsein as fundament of the early reflections of Schopenhauer, and its significance for his theory of redemption. In the first part, I describe the context of the concept and some of its characteristic notes. In the second part, I refer to some of the interpretations of its origin and function. In the third part, I distinguish the meaning that Schopenhauer gives to the term and its relation with the later thesis of his system. Finally, I distinguish possible interpretations of the concept.
