A comprehensive survey of 222 patients with ischemic heart disease and obesity was conducted. The study determined the carbohydrate, lipid metabolism and gene allelic polymorphism of Gln27Glu of β2-adrenergic receptors gene. Comorbidity of ischemic heart disease and obesity is characterized by hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance on the background of normoglycemia that is associated with the G/G genotype polymorphism of Gln27Glu of β2-adrenergic receptors gene. G/G genotype polymorphism gene of Gln27Glu β2-adrenergic receptors in patients with ischemic heart disease is associated with increased body mass index and triglyceride levels. In our study, we provided evidence of the influence of genotype G/G of Gln27Glu polymorphism of β2-adrenergic receptors gene in patients with ischemic heart disease and obesity on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.
