Summary:<p>This paper aims to revisit Eulàlia Grau’s piece «Mínimos y máximos» («Minimums and Maximums»), published in 1977 in the 204-205 issue of Arquitectura. This publication inaugurates the new era of the COAM’s journal. It is conceived as a helpful document to set the course of Spanish architecture a"er the dictatorship and to fill the gap le" by Modern Architecture.</p><p>«Mínimos y máximos» exposes six houses previously selected from six different neighborhoods around Barcelona, by showing photographs of their interiors and conversations with their inhabitants.</p> <p>Applying Beatriz Colomina studies on architecture magazines and taking into account the influence of technological breakthroughs in the architectural culture, this paper will analyze how Arquitectura uses Eulàlia Grau’s work to point at the domestic interiors as the matrix where the urban construction is generated. «Mínimos y máximos» analyzed in the context of Arquitectura journal, becomes as a testing ground for the construction of the new city. The editorial practice shi"s as an experimental method for the architectural and urban project, and for political and social construction.</p>
