Hospital services in Croatia - how to recognize professional and educational challenges

For successful health care reforms, it is necessary to recognize thepolitical, social and administrative issues that affect the operationof Croatian hospitals. Main managerial challenges are in-depthpolicy analyses and creation of guidelines for the rationalizationof hospital services.There is a lack of knowledge for comparisons between problemsof Croatian hospitals and international experience.(i.e. how to estimatethe appropriateness and applicability of internationally implementedpolicy interventions). The technologies that could enableprofessionals to develop policy options, recommend actionsand support implementation are not available.
