Summary: | This work presents the path taken in the Group of Research in Education and Art - GEARTE, more specifically the research developed that culminated in the doctoral thesis entitled, Apprehension of senses in contemporary videos. Based on the syncretic semiotics studies, reading exercises were performed on a corpus of analysis composed of three contemporary videos, containing characteristics both in their expression plane and in the content plane, which favored, in some respect, a closer look at the dimension of the sensitive. Such exercises sought to examine the articulation between visual and sound languages, considering the plans and levels of language proposed by Hjelmslev, categories derived from the cinematographic studies articulated to the concepts of syncretism and esthesia advocated by Greimas.
