The additive does not raise safety concerns under the proposed conditions of use for the target species, consumers the users and the environment. The Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed (FEEDAP) expressed reservations on the use of the additive in water for drinking due to concerns on its impact on hygienic conditions of the water.
