Methodological procedures included documental and bibliographic research. It is emphasized that entrepreneurship of professional education in Brazil and Mato Grosso do Sul had moments of oscillation during the study period: between 2001 and 2004, the private sector presented a larger growth, and between 2005 and 2011, the state sector expanded even more.
