Summary: | Voltage Source Converter based High Voltage Direct Current Transmission (VSC-HVDC) technology promotes the development and utilisation of large-scale wind power, but the power oscillation might occur due to the interaction between two control systems. In order to avoid the high cost of wind turbines transformation, an additional damping scheme on the VSC-HVDC converter for power oscillation mitigation is proposed in this article. On the basis of the additional damping control principle, the concrete transformation method of islanding control is given. Under the time domain simulation and impedance analysis, the validity of the proposed oscillation mitigation method is verified.
