Summary:Being discussed in psycological, sociological, cultural etc senses, the action of reading is a subject which is heavily studied on. However, the neuro-biological approach requires the evaluation of the actions of reading findings and comments with a different dimension. Focusing on the relation between brain and reading, this scientific field is trying to express how the brain performs the reading process and also researches how reading influences the physiological and cognitive struc­ture of the brain. According to the acquired findings, it is stated that individuals develop mentally and their upper level mental activities such as self-consciousness and assessment increase as a consequence of the reading skill, which is rather a complex action. Moreover, it is comprehended that there are integral qualified differences between weak and good readers in emotional, motor and cognitive senses. It is suggested in general that the action of reading positively influences the physiological structure of the brain.
