In a critical reading and hermeneutics, the words of the great heresy of Hinduism become signifiers of a theory of perception that underlies the psychology of desire and an epistemology of illusion, that is, a deep, meta-psychological meaning which speaks of the accession of a self to its objects (internal or external), and the resulting distortion of the image or content originating from a desire to stay in the self and its perceptions. Some basic ideas about Buddha and his teachings will be presented, beginning with the conditions of his birth and his existential and spiritual journey. Overall, Buddha’s message is focused, argumentatively, in its four noble truths.
