Summary:The origin of human civilization is an intriguing and mythical story of travels. This origin begins with an «explorative» myth that ventures to the celestial spheres and it gives to the human world the time and space in which the creation of the first social rules – considered as already moral – takes shape. The dugout and its sailors – the sun and the moon – are the focus of an anthropological investigation, such as Lévi-Strauss’s one. This investigation allows to find philosophical meanings involving directly ethical sphere.
