An increasing number of individuals are seeking medical assistance for gender-affirming medical interventions. Many medical and surgical practitioners working with transgender clients in the Indian subcontinent face clinical and social challenges. In this article, we highlight some of the common challenges experienced by healthcare professionals and the solutions adopted in providing care for transgender clients.
