Summary:Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive memory loss and cognitive dysfunction. Currently there is no effective treatment. Given the depth of current stem cell research, researchers have attempted to compensate for neuronal loss in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease using stem cell technology. This article will review the pathogenesis of AD, the latest advances in stem cell therapy, and the challenges and prospects of its development.
