Summary: | This paper is intended to describe how to identify the training needs of staff based on integrated approache that combaines analysis of individual, organization and hobs (integrated approach) and shows its implementation process in a case study. In this proposed approach, training needs assessment do require competencies that ensure strategic goals attainment. Competency is knowledge, abilities, skilles, attitudes and motivation that needed for doing job successfully. Research methodology of this study contain identifying key staff competencies, outline the hierarchical of assessments criteria, applying the AHP technique , staff assessment and ranking and finally identifying staff needs training based on gap analysis. Findings from methodology implementation in a case study of middle managers at the National Iranian Petroleum Products company indicate that in addition to the ease for understanding and applying the proposed method, it can lead to more accurate determination of training needs, increase training effectiveness and incentives to increase employee participation in the assessment and applying of training courses. Also, applying analytical hierarchy process (AHP) provided a wide field of application for other multi attribute decision techniques that help assessment and ranking the training needs.  |
