Summary:Conventional measuring methods in a dimensional control of turbine parts are demanding and time-consuming, their accuracy depends on experiences of measuring team. Absolute interferometry of laser trackers assures higher measuring accuracy, measuring time is considerably shorter. It is possible to control the influences on measurement in laboratory, whereas more problems may arise during outside measurements. This paper presents the laser tracker technology and its testing in dimensional control of turbine parts of hydropower plants on the lower Sava river.
