Description
Summary:The quest for optimization and quality of products has caused many organizations to eliminate the inefficiencies of their production processes, to reduce costs and increase profitability so that they can ensure their survival in the current economic scenario. Thus, it is necessary to use methods and techniques that help in getting better results. Minimize waste and promote overall product quality has become one of the main goals of the organizations. This study is Bibliographically the concept of Lean Manufacturing (Lean Manufacturing), which focused on eliminating waste, served as the basis for this study, which through an action - research aimed to applying lean practices for performance improvement the laser cutting process for an industry of the metalmechanic sector. The results show that the identification of the main sources of waste and the constant search for its elimination brought productivity advantages for the company, by reducing the processes of machines and minimize production costs time. With this, the company started to produce more, and improve their processes in the proper use of available resources.
