Summary: | This article, based on El Espíritu de los mejores diarios literarios que se publican en Europa , situates within the framework of our research carried out on engravings in Spanish periodicals during the Enlightenment (see El Argonauta español, n° 2, janvier 2005 and n° 5, janvier 2008). Launched by Cristóbal Cladera in 1787, this successful newspaper made use of the engravings as one of his key elements of his ambitious editorial politics. Through this unusual ways, Cladera tried to make a difference to his direct competitors and dreamed of reaching the most prestigious level of periodicals in Europe, chosen as the authentic models. |
