A scheduling model with collaborative air–ground transportation is proposed with the transport time, transportation cost, and utilization rate of the rescue aircraft taken into account. Results indicate that the model is feasible and effective under different damage degrees of road networks. An analysis of a comparative example among air transportation, road transportation, and combined air–ground transportation, shows that the combined air–ground transportation scheduling model could improve transportation efficiency and guarantee the timeliness and accuracy of rescue scheduling.https://doi.org/10.1177/1687814017739512
