It is assumed that theanalysis of a micro reality allows enlightening a larger collective process. It tries to expose the link in itsinstitutioning moment, adopting an ethnographic perspective and utilizing procedures of discourse analysis. Fourpassages of the interview dealing with Portuguese language and culture are analyzed trying to point out (1) thedifferent historic, geographic, economic, political and social determinations that permit to clarify obscure parts ofthe interview and (2) the imaginary meanings (symbolizations, attachments, desires) related to the social link, createdand acting in the interview. The language appears as an important element in the construction of the social link, butit presents difficulties concerning the Angolan and Brazilian variants. These difficulties are major because they arenot anticipated.http://www.fafich.ufmg.br/gerais/index.php/gerais/article/view/80/53Social LinkLanguageCultureAngola-Brazil RelationshipsSocial Imaginary Meanings
