Summary:The current paper takes part on a project that consists on didactic intervention in the form of workshops performed by students and graduates in History from the U.B.A. in the House-hold Day Program for senior people in the city of Buenos Aires. The proposed workshops, born in 2003 in response to growing public interest non-specialists in History, lies primarily in connecting the academic world with the different sectors of society, in our case, specifi-cally elder people. The link established with the social actor above mentioned is based on a dialogue between the historical discourse produced by the academy and the life experiences, as well as the collective perception of past times built depending on the sense of history of that time and how has been reproduced by previous educational processes. This educational activity, which also means a new method of making History conforms the framework of a dialectic dynamic of knowledge that collectively reconfigures the vision of the past and allows us to better understand the elements of historical knowledge that circulates on society and become part of its imaginary.
