The face, neck, and scalp are the most frequently affected sites, although lesions may occur on any site of the body. Histologically, the disorder is characterized by mucin deposition in the follicular epithelium. The condition is frequently divided into primary and secondary forms, with the latter form frequently associated with mycosis fungoides. In this case report, we describe a child with follicular mucinosis of the back and trunk and discuss the clinical variants, histopathological pattern, and treatment options.http://www.idoj.in/article.asp?issn=2229-5178;year=2013;volume=4;issue=4;spage=333;epage=335;aulast=LewarsAlopecia mucinosafollicular mucinosis
