Summary:The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of spiritual education and teaching of Islamic religion on academic resiliency and academic anxiety of secondary school male students. methodology: this study was a semi-experimental one with pre-test and post-test with control group. the statistical population of this study consisted of all male high school students in Tabriz in academic year98-99. Multistage cluster sampling was used to select the sample. For this purpose, 40 students were selected after the screening and were randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups. Then 10 training sessions were conducted for the experimental group and the control group and did not receive any training. Pre-test and post-test were used for exam anxiety and academic resiliency questionnaires. the data were then analyzed using mixed analysis of variance. the results of data analysis showed that teaching spirituality-based curriculum and the teachings of Islamic religion had an effect on reducing academic anxiety and increasing students, academic resilience.
