Summary:The antecedents of Education for Peace as a pedagogical trend are linked to the theoretical bases of the New School, understood as a renewing educative movement in the threshold of the beginnings of the 21st century. The outcome of the debate between the New School and the Traditional Pedagogy left as a positive point a higher level of concern to approach the vision of man in his interaction with the society. The present article has as a major objective to approach certain elements in the historic evolution of Education for Peace in America and Europe.
