Summary: | This paper illustrates the situation in the
country, in terms of accountability of political
officials as the highest state officials and pursuit of
legal rules in practical application. Avoiding
responsibility by political officials is very common
in countries like the Republic of Macedonia. The
opposition often requires it, and the government
claims that bearing accountability starts with
winning the elections, while experts explain that
political responsibility is difficult to define in a
country like Macedonia where it is not practiced in
the everyday political life. Through the analysis of
some important cases which we will reach through
research, we will discover the ways in which
certain responsibilities of political officials are
determined, and will also determine the role of
institutions and bodies responsible for
implementing the legal provisions regarding the
accountability of the political officials as top civil
servants and their activity in the field. Does
accountability of political officials as civil servants
fail somewhere, and is disguised and why this is so,
will be elaborated in this paper. |
