Description
Summary:The paper suggests the method of defining and the form of characteristic curves that in unique manner represent energy consumption in rotary-pulse apparatus for liquid pumping through its operating tools. The advantage of energy flow parameters in operating tools of rotary-pulse apparatus is proved in the form of non-dimensional curves in advance of head and flow characteristics. It’s recommended to take as the base Euler criterion-criterion Reynolds relation modified by the replacement in inertial components of mean flow velocity on flow consumption. The base relation may include dimensionless ratios that include structural features of operating tools of apparatus as well as processing mode. The experimental studies results of energy flow parameters in operating tools of rotary-pulse apparatus are represented. The findings are obtained using original apparatus design/structure the feature of which is internal circulation of treated liquid flow. Such apparatus design provides the opportunity to identify the real flow characteristics and impact of operating tools construction on flows. The program study considers the use of operating unit of rotary-pulse apparatus that consists of pressure device in the form of impeller and pulse unit. The pulse unit is formed by coaxial to apparatus axis cylinders with side perforation placed at one holes level that are of the same form and size. It’s found that characteristics curves of modified Euler criterion-Reynolds criterion relation has the form of descending curves of complex shape that doesn’t depend on pulse cascade number in operating apparatus unit. Possibility of power component on liquid pumping through apparatus is indicated. It’s emphasized and given the recommendation to pass from suggested form of dependency till head and flow characteristics. The suggested approach for defining the energy flow parameters expands the opportunities for improvement of rotary-pulse apparatus construction as well as technological modes for liquid processing.
