Description
Summary:This essay reflects on the debate about race and class in Brazil, starting from the analysis of the central hypothesis that this debate is still rooted in a supposed impossibility that race and class form a unit. This old-fashioned idea, however, appears as a form of legitimation of the bourgeois ideology and expresses the real fragmentation of the working class as whole. In this sense, its progress involves a collective effort of mobilization and systematic organization and union between antiracist struggle and the fight against all forms of exploitation and oppression of class societies, that are observed in reality.
