Next, the particularities of the Mexican case are introduced. Different historical phases are established, the situation and characteristics of the most important intellectual’s groups or movements in each period (Colony, Independence, period between the last and the Republic restoration, the Porfiriato, the revolutionary Mexico, the post-revolution and the second half of the Twentieth Century) are described.
