| Summary: | The growing importance of media education has a significant impact on the competence of the modern teacher. The purpose of the article is to show the role of the teacher in the process of media education and identify to a set of core competencies of teachers in this field of science. Means to achieve the intended objective is to review selected works, their analysis, evaluation and justification of the adopted operating solutions. The key issues in this report are: the use of the tools of media education in the teaching process and the role and characteristics of the modern teacher in the learning proces. The analysis allowed us to show the importance held by teacher competencies the effectiveness of the teaching process. The study also proposes a set of the most important teacher competence in the process of media education. |
