On the basis of competence and main activities of Ombudsman was concluded that there are three models of this institution: the executive ombudsman, the independent ombudsman and the parliamentary ombudsman. It is noted that the most widely used parliamentary ombudsmen with sufficient independence to control the executive branch and in the area of human rights.
