Description
Summary:Abstract In this study, to evaluate the strength on the local bond failure, pull‐out tests of deformed bars straightly embedded in concrete were conducted. As a result, the test results were classified into entire bond failure and local bond failure. The effects of the beam width and inner transverse ties on the entire bond failure were evaluated by the previous bond capacity formula. In this study, split modes in which more than one bar split the concrete for the upper or lateral side were assumed, and a method to evaluate the strengths on the local bond failure and a way to expect the split mode was proposed.
