Summary:Dentists and dental professional are constantly in contact with round, sharp, hot, and rotating instruments such as burs, scalpel blades, files, etc., in daily practice. Gate Glidden is one of the mentioned instruments used for removing gutta percha from root canal- treated teeth. In this article, a rare case of penetration of a fractured Gate Gildden bur into a dentist's elbow is reported and precaution instructions are discussed.
