Specifi cally, its net effects on the media are unknown. This study assesses the evolution of vertical and horizontal segregation in advertising agencies in an attempt to indirectly evaluate the impact of the Organic Law for Effective Equality of Women and Men. Two transversal studies (563 workers in 2004 and 309 in 2010) using self-administered questionnaires, show that while vertical segregation declined, horizontal segregation increased. Results may be due to multiple causes but our analysis suggests certain changes could have been fostered.http://reis.cis.es/REIS/PDF/REIS_150_06_ENGLISH1428571599501.pdfLaw ApplicationInequalityGender DifferencesSurveysLabor LawAdvertisingOccupational Segregation |
