Therefore, five high-precision standard mixtures for the <span class="inline-formula">O<sub>2</sub></span> molar fraction gravimetrically prepared by the National Metrology Institute of Japan, AIST (NMIJ/AIST) with a standard uncertainty of less than 5 per meg (0.001 ‰) were used as round-robin standard mixtures. The scales are compared based on offsets in zero and span. The largest offset corresponded to a 0.30 <span class="inline-formula">Pg yr<sup>−1</sup></span> decrease and increase in global estimates for land biospheric and oceanic <span class="inline-formula">CO<sub>2</sub></span> uptakes based on trends in atmospheric <span class="inline-formula">CO<sub>2</sub></span> and <span class="inline-formula"><i>δ</i></span>(<span class="inline-formula"><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M28" display="inline" overflow="scroll" dspmath="mathml"><mrow class="chem"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">O</mi><mn mathvariant="normal">2</mn></msub><mo>/</mo><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">N</mi><mn mathvariant="normal">2</mn></msub></mrow></math><span><svg:svg xmlns:svg="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="34pt" height="14pt" class="svg-formula" dspmath="mathimg" md5hash="e20398d2b66e20262265917023978e6c"><svg:image xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="amt-14-6181-2021-ie00012.svg" width="34pt" height="14pt" src="amt-14-6181-2021-ie00012.png"/></svg:svg></span></span>).
