Description
Summary:The cell cycle-related transcription factor E2F1 is a member of the cell cycle-related transcription factor E2F family, mainly involved in various cell processes including cell cycle progression, DNA repair, DNA replication, cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. E2F1 is highly expressed in a variety of tumor tissues and cells, and it plays a role as a cancer-promoting gene. The up-regulation of E2F1 expression is closely related to the occurrence, development, metastasis and prognosis of tumors. Therefore, E2F1 is expected to become a new target for cancer treatment. This article reviews the latest research progress of E2F1 in current common tumors.
