After the fervor of the sixties, in which it was believed that the Cuban model –political, social and cultural– could adapt this to different local realities. In this moment, the events derived from the "Padilla case", in 1971, broke the unity of a front of intellectual left. There was no longer an axis, Havana. At the same time the demand of the market for narrative literature grew, especially, the crisis intensified placing on the immediate horizon a great repressive wave that would end with the hopes and even with the lives of many people. In this context, Hispamérica rethinks in an eccentric space the examination of Latin American literature, especially in the south, and even promotes some fundamental balances and discussions.
