Description
Summary:The Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) represents one of the first morbidity causes in a local, regional and global level. Objective: To identify the strongest risk factors associated with AMI, reported by the recent scientific literature. Methods: We review the literature were published since 2010. The inclusion criteria were: original publications with experimental and observational studies, full text recoverable throughout the institutional databases and those with AMI as a variable result and correlated with different type of risk factors. The CASPE check lists were used to evaluate the quality of articles. Results: 38 studies were included into the analysis, those were so heterogeneous. The results are presented in 4 groups, according to the type of risk factors. Conclusions: The review identified that diabetes, hypertension and tobacco were the risk factors, as well appear oral health and sleep hygiene with an important impact.
